PARK10
The PARK10 locus was first described within multiple families in Iceland. Unlike other PARK genes found in families with Mendelian patterns of inheritance, PARK10 appears to associate with a susceptibility gene for more common late-onset PD (Hicks et al., 2002). The specific gene variants explaining PARK10 association with PD have yet to be identified.
