Frontiers of Neural Stem Cells

The Eli and Edythe Broad Center of Regeneration Medicine and Stem Cell Research at UCSF is pleased to announce the “2nd International Stem Cell Research Symposium: Frontiers of Neural Stem Cells”. This meeting will be held over two days on Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd of 2009 at the UCSF Mission Bay Conference Center. The symposium will highlight recent progress in the neural stem cell field, as well as prospects for clinical applications. There will be four scientific sessions covering themes related to the origin of neural stem cells, the role of stem and progenitor cells in building and repairing the brain, mechanisms for creating neurons and glial cells, and stem cell models of neurological disease.
