2010 AAN Annual Meeting
In 2010, we look forward to broadening our scope and highlighting some grand achievements in neurology. This year we have an exciting new Awards Plenary Session to highlight the latest research honored through the AAN Awards Luncheon. Recipients of the Potamkin Prize for Research in Pick's, Alzheimer's, and Related Diseases; the Sheila Essey Award—An Award for ALS Research; the John Dystel Prize for Multiple Sclerosis Research; and the Dreifuss-Penry Epilepsy Award will each take the stage to give a 30-minute presentation on the plenary stage. We look forward to bringing these researchers and their hard-won efforts to a wider audience. The Academy is also focusing on clinical patient issues in the new Friday Clinical Trials Session, which identifies key presentations from other conferences, provides an even broader context for the researcher presented at our Annual Meeting, and gives practitioners and researchers alike a better understanding of the current state of neurology.— Stefan M. Pulst, MD, FAAN
The AAN Annual Meeting brings together more than 10,000 neuroscience professionals for one of the world's largest neurology gatherings. It has long been a leading showcase for the latest developments in scientific research, and a place to honor peers at the forefront of this work.
