Bio:

Steven Braithwaite is Head of the Cellular Neurodegeneration and Regeneration group and Principal Research Scientist at Wyeth Research, Princeton, NJ, USA. His work focuses on mechanisms underlying Alzheimer’s disease, Parkinson’s disease and stroke for development of therapeutics.  Previously he worked on mechanisms regulating receptor trafficking relevant to basic synaptic function and neuronal dysfunction at AGY Therapeutics, in postdoctoral work at Stanford University and PhD studies at the University of Bristol. Together his studies are elucidating fundamental mechanisms of disease, particularly through cell signaling events and receptor modulation, to lead to novel disease modifying therapeutics.
