Cooperative Program in Translational Research for Neuromuscular Disease (U01)

The FOA is part of a coordinated program being released by the NIH to promote translational research in neuromuscular disease, and includes “Exploratory/Developmental Projects in Translational Research for Neuromuscular Disease (R21)” (PAR-08-228). NINDS has a broader range of FOAs that also can be used in the development of therapeutics for neuromuscular disease (http://www.ninds.nih.gov/funding/research/translational/index.htm). The extramural research community may use these translational research initiatives flexibly and creatively, and in whatever combinations are necessary, to achieve the most rapid and effective development of investigational interventions for neuromuscular diseases.
